Far better than I thought it would be (and I expected it to be great to begin with). Pitt is excellent as a tortured, paranoid, psychotic Jesse James. And a star is born in Casey Affleck's portrayal of the coward Robert Ford. The cinematography alone is worth a viewing: artistic & innovative from start to finish.

I can't recommend this film enough - one of the best of 2007. Even at a what seems to some an eternity of 2 hrs. and 40 min., it will hold your attention, interest and (ultimately) admiration.
