I'm sure glad Bonnie decided to "mix-it up" as
she's stated about this music. It was time for
her to try some other things. Not being a singer
who throws out new products every year or so,
well not since the 70's, Bonnie has a right to
do what she sees fit and experiementing in the
studio and trying not to miss things and at the
same time trying not to be so perfect give this
musical adventure abit more grit and far less pretentiousness for what she was attemping to do. Sure I love
Bonnie when shes just singing to "me" its nice to
see songs like "Spit of Love" and its feedback,
"Round and Round" and its vintage sounds, Bonnie
pulls these off and more, and the pain in "Lovers
Will", was that her pain shes sharing, little did
we know? "Cure for Love" is the way I love Bonnie
singing, and I've heard her singing since I've
been a teenager back around 74'-75', in the Boston area. Too many
people claim Bonnie Raitt since NICK of TIME fame
but Bonnie was all over the place back in the 70's
and was highly regarded (but never "Famous") its
nice to see her throw some "sonics" around, she
doesn't need anyones approval on anything she does
I think Bonnie knows what makes Bonnie work, hang
on her new "Silver Lining" is on its way. Not everybody got what Bonnie was trying to do, sorry.
